ABOUT
I am a female lighting designer originally from Hull, with bases in Hull, London and the Midlands.
I am also the co-founder of theatre company Puddle of Fools, with actor and devisor Hannah Harquart. We are currently developing our production of new play 'Mumsplaining'.

I have recently become a recipient of the MGC Futures Bursary 2023.

Some recent design credits include 'Mumsy' directed by Zoe Waterman, 'Wish You Weren't Here directed by Rob Watt, 'A Sudden Violent Burst of Rain' directed by Yasmin Hasefji, and 'Patricia Gets Ready (for a date with the man that used to hit her)' directed by Kaleya Baxe.

I studied a degree in BA Theatre and Performance Technology, in which I gained a first class honours, specialising in Lighting Design.
During my time studying, I was chosen as one of five participants to partake in the SLX Lighting Programme, as well as a member in The Godber Theatre Foundation.

Prior to attending LIPA I completed an 18 month apprenticeship at Bridlington Spa which gave me a range of experience working in a professional venue and programming and operating on shows of varying scales from studio shows to conference set ups to large scale musicals.

Alongside lighting design, I have credits working as a theatre technician at the London Palladium, with Walk The Plank, M&S Bank Arena Liverpool, and more.
The most important element of designing a show to me is the collaboration with the creative team. I am passionate about work which connects to an audience and lighting is a huge part of that: it can set the mood, change the feel, tell a story and affect the atmosphere. I love to include practical elements within my designs which I find helps to immerse the audience even more.
I am always seeking new opportunities to get involved in, as a lighting designer, assistant, or associate.
